Your questions about my pet portraits are all answered here. And if they are not, feel welcome to contact me.
Artwork
Of course you can! I adore to paint a group of pets together. Multiple pet options are available in all my pet portrait styles.
They all don’t have to be in the same photos you send me either. Feel welcome to send separate photos of each pet and I can arrange them into a beautiful composition that reflects the relationship your pets have with each other.
Yes I do, the canvases I paint and print on are hand-made and stretched. They can be made to order in any size you like.
Simply send me a message detailing what you are after and I will provide you with a quote.
Provided I haven’t started painting or sent your portrait to print you are very welcome to change your order at any time.
Just email me jess@popartpuppydogs.com and we can organise the update.
I’d love to help you surprise your loved one with a pet portrait gift. If you do have a certain date that you need your pet portrait by, please let me know so I can factor that into my painting schedule.
I work on a first in bases (and can get quite booked up especially around Christmas) — if it’s looking like I can’t complete your portrait in time for your special occasion, I can organise a gift voucher for you to give.
That way I will be able to work personally with your lucky recipient to create their perfect portrait of their pet.
Yes, if you already have a digital illustration print of your dog, the options are pretty much endless for the items we can print the artwork on. They make for great gifts to share your art with your loved ones.
Contact me with a special request. I’ve done mugs, blankets, bags and lots of other merchandise before — all ideas welcome!
If you have a hand painted portrait, these are one of a kind, however they so all start with a digital sketch that we can get printed on merchandise too!
Yes, I can paint pop art cats and other animals too!
Photos
I adore looking at pet photos so please send lots to me I can recommend the best one to create your painting from. If you do have amazing pet photos, that’s awesome, as obviously the better your photo the more clearly I can capture your pets exact details – in my signature pop art style of course!
Though I’m yet to find a photo I can’t work with and I won’t let photography stand in the way of creating a lasting tribute of your pet in pop art. I’m always here to help you choose photo that will translate amazingly into a work of art.
I understand if your darling pet isn’t with us anymore or they are camera shy or can’t stay still, that’s totally fine. By using artistry, I’ve produced gorgeous artworks from a photo of an actual photo print, pieced together partial pet photos, iPhone snaps and more.
I’d prefer nothing too blurry or dark and ask for multiple photos of your pet so I can use my artistic skill to create your beautiful painting.
Yes, make sure you have the rights to give me permission to use these photos as a painting reference.
If you are not the copyright owner of your reference photos we can get into trouble with copyright law if I use them for my art.
You need to have taken this photo or have been given permission by the person who took the photo to share it with me for the portrait. For more detail on this please read my artwork agreement and Terms & Conditions which applies to every artwork I create.
Payments
Just put your order through my online checkout for the style you want and I’ll book you into the next available spot. Browse styles →
You can also put down a deposit that will secure your place in my painting schedule. We can decide on style and size later!
Once we have placed your order with a custom pet portrait deposit, I will book you into my painting schedule and email you to get photos of your pet.
The balance amount of your order is due after I’ve completed the sketch of your pet. An invoice will be issued for the balance amount. All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and for international orders payments will be automatically converted to your currency by your bank.
Once the full amount is processed, I’ll complete your painting or send it off to be printed.
I’m happy to discuss a payment plan arrangement, just let me know you are interested in this option and we can work it out.
If I have not started work on your portrait yet, we can cancel the booking and refund any amount charged.
If I have started work on your portrait, I’ll deduct the appropriate amount for the work I’ve completed and refund the rest.
Returns
I do not offer returns, exchanges or refunds on commissioned artwork.
They are made personally for you and I work with you throughout the artwork process to give you the opportunity for feedback — this is so we can ensure the artwork you receive is exactly to your liking.
Shipping
Delivery of your portrait will vary depending on your order and your location. All my artworks are shipped from Melbourne, Australia. They are sent by either Australia Post or courier depending on the size of your artwork. My shipping page has up to date details on the delivery of each of my art styles.
Where possible I choose to send orders by express post as I want to limit the time your portrait is in transit as much as I am able.
If you do need your portrait by a certain date, let me know when you book it in.
Within Australia, delivery costs are included in the total painting amount, additional charges may apply for International shipping.
Shipping for International delivery will be calculated at the checkout.
International orders may also be liable to a customs charge on delivery, percentage rates vary from country to country so please check with your government’s policy. Please be aware that I have no control over this and can’t accept any responsibility for additional customs charges.
Please contact me jess@popartpuppydogs.com straight away and let me know about the situation.
If you have received your portrait that (despite my best efforts in packaging) has been damaged during transit, please send me photos of the damage.
If you think your portrait has gone missing in transit, let me know and I can follow up with the courier to see if we can get an update.
Because some situations with shipping are out of my control, postal insurance is included in delivery cost and any issues I will resolve to the best possible outcome that I can organise. One of a kind artworks are hard to replace so if the worst does happen, please be patient and understanding — we’ll figure something out!
